The NCS Library system is a comprehensive package, which records details and events for all collection items from the time of order to archival and eventual disposal.
NCS Library software includes fully integrated circulation, cataloguing, acquisitions, statistics, OPAC and WebPAC modules.
The easy to use web-based enquiry and input screens provide an intuitive interface. The system includes comprehensive reporting and integration with MS desktop products.
Library subscribers have access to their reading history and may request and renew items from OPAC screens in the Library or from the Internet.
Circulation events, such as issues, returns, reserves and financial transactions, are recorded against borrowers and items, and are held for enquiry and statistical reports. These events may be input via the keyboard or machine-readable form, such as bar code scanning.
When items on order are received, they are transferred to the catalogue module for enquiry and circulation access.
Authority control is provided for authors, editors, publishers, subjects and series. Powerful catalogue enquiry access is provided for library staff and public.
